Flight Traffic is Trending Up

The trend of increasing flight traffic is self-evident. The above graph taken from JAC’s own data compares the past 4 years of commercial and general aviation (private) flights broken down monthly. As you can see traffic for June, July, and August 2021 increased significantly. With the marked increase in commercial and private flights, there has been a corresponding increase in noise levels in surrounding neighborhoods. JAC acknowledges there is still gate capacity at JAC to increase additional commercial flights. For more detailed information on JAC noise levels, view the December 17, 2021 report by Mead and Hunt consultants to JAC.

Loud Noise Events Are Trending Up

In recent years, loud level noise events (that disrupt conversation) are more predominate than lower level noise events. Historically, this was not the case. For more detailed information on JAC noise levels, view the December 17, 2021 report by Mead and Hunt consultants to JAC.

Reports for Enplanements, Monthly Commercial Flight Activity and Tower Reports from JAC

Historical Monthly Activity and Enplanement (Load Factor) reports show the number of commercial flights landing at JAC each month and the number of passengers disembarking.

Tower Reports show the number of total flights landing at JAC by year and month - including commercial (AC), air taxi (AT), general aviation (GA), military (MI) and operations (OPS). Comparing year over year data by month you can determine the growth in numbers of flights in total and by segment.

Annual Airport Noise Reports

The purpose of these reports is to present the final results from the annual noise measurement surveys at Jackson Hole Airport. Noise measurements are conducted in order to determine the annual noise exposure levels from the airport.
